Processes work orders and other documents requiring office procedural knowledge

Communicates under the direction of the supervisor through standard forms of communication, written and oral to external and internal contacts

Assists supervisor in the organization, compilations, and preparation of reports, meetings, and other data, as needed

Schedules appointments and maintain supervisor’s calendar/schedule and related transportation arrangement when needed

Orders and maintains supplies using established procedures; processes payment of purchased items according to DCSD (DeKalb County School District) guidelines

Maintains work unit filing system

Minimum five (5) years of experience in executive-level office management is required.

Facilitates project management and coordinates projects and events that require senior staff participation

Provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence

Responds to telephone inquiries and directs callers to appropriate department and/or staff member for input or assistance

Follows up to ensure that action has been taken according to operational procedures

Reads and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution

0-3 years of relevant experience in implementation of operational improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate and influence direction.

Knowledge of lean concepts and tools (5S, visual workplace, mistake proofing, PDCA, standard work, etc.)

Responsible for project management and administration to include project direction, implementation, cost/benefit analysis, scheduling and resource allocation

Strong Project Management and execution skills

Establish and maintain monthly progress reviews in accordance with site leadership requirements

Works with the CI Managers/Coordinators from other sites as well as the corporate headquarters to share best practices across sites

3 years of experience in lean manufacturing

Certification in Lean manufacturing preferred
