Project Management – Leading projects/key initiatives to improve the business

Conceptualize the client’s goals and requirements.

Full-time role with competitive salary commensurate with experience, within the approximate range of $55,000 per year.

Creatively consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space.

Draft Test Fit/Space Plans, and complete Schematic Design and Design Development drawing packages.

Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures.

Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture or equivalent in education or experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff, participates in professional development reviews and “Lessons Learned” sessions.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.

Advanced knowledge of furniture types, vendors, fixtures and equipment, architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.

Knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.

Strong oral communication and written skills.

Ability to successful manage all aspects of commercial projects including schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion.

Working for a reputable General Contractor with local projects and consistent customers in Houston, TX.

Strong Commercial project pipeline with a focus on mixed commercial projects such as: Class A offies, Core & Shell, Ground-up offices

Fluently read and interpret specifications and plans.

Assist the project staff with the management of project‘s risk, budget, and schedule

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Extensive knowledge of the Greater New York Real Estate industry, specifically within the commercial real estate sector

Experience in scheduling / project controls

Strong experience in forecasting construction durations and logic, including the durations for design, pre-construction, heavy construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.

Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.

Two (2) years aircraft maintenance experience on heavy transport category aircraft.

Layout and perform interior reconfigurations and repairs.

Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Perform work within estimated hours.
