Complex Claims Adjuster Jobs

Use claims management software and company provided laptop to determine proper repairs and assess property damage in a paperless environment

Represents Legacy Restoration from a public relations standpoint and must conduct oneself as a member of management at all times

2+ years of prior Claims Adjuster experience

Research applicable coverage for our insureds. Document coverage dates, limits, and restrictions.

Assign defense counsel to answer and defend lawsuits when appropriate. Monitor and direct defense counsel, independent adjusters, and experts.

This position may require mandatory overtime as deemed appropriate by management

Investigate, evaluate, and resolve automobile claims in a timely and efficient manner

Document investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and plans of action

Ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards, industry best practices and all state and federal regulations

Produce grammatically correct and clearly written correspondence including letters, memos, reports and claim file documentation

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. College degree preferred.

Escalate issues to team lead, supervisor, or managers when unable to de-escalate

Proficient in utilizing claims management systems and software applications.

Communicate claim decisions, coverage details, and settlement offers effectively and professionally.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in claims adjusting or related insurance industry roles.

Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage analysis, and claims handling processes.

The job duties of a Senior Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster may include:

A bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant professional certifications (CSP, ARM, RRE) is required.

- Investigating and evaluating workers compensation claims

oClaims Investigation (includes emergency investigations)

oBook of business (carrier/client) reviews and trends.

Has the ability to work in multiple claims management systems at the same time.

Strong insurance restoration estimating knowledge and experience.

Proficient computer & typing skills - working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.

Experience making coverage determinations and writing coverage determination letters.

Prior experience handling FIGA claims is preferred.

Prior experience working in Duck Creek and Katana is a plus.

5 years’ experience handling claims, including advanced skills in coverage, investigation, litigation, negotiation, damage/injury evaluation, salvage, and subrogation

A four-year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience

Knowledge of and adherence to the state laws and regulations governing the handling of general liability claims

5+ years of previous adjuster experience with preference for maritime claims experience

Serve as the corporate representative on behalf of the company at mediations, as well as in depositions and trial, as needed

Oversee and attend ship inspections conducted in connection with claims and litigation

Less than 25% shore-based travel

7 + years claims/legal experience, with at least 2 years within a technical specialty preferred

Advanced knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices and techniques, to include but not limited to coverage issues, and product line knowledge

Functional knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions

Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communications skills

Demonstrated advanced analytical, decision making and negotiation skills
