Prior Clinical Secretary, Patient Care Technician, Unit Assistant or equivalent experience preferred

Current Basic Life Support certification required

Obtains report from the assigned Nurse regarding the specific care needs of the patient.

Obtains vital signs as assigned during the shift and documents on the Patient Care Flow record

Remains within arms reach of the patient until relieved by another staff member

Performs patient transfers to chair, bed or stretcher as requested, observing basic safety practices and principles of body mechanics.

Observes appropriate safety practices for patients including arm bands, side rails, restraints, call light position and toileting.

The Telesitter will function under the direction of the Telesitter supervisor or Manager.

Ability to read, write, possess basic computer skills, and speak the English language.

The Telesitter role will primarily function as a constant monitor for patients requiring continuous observation.

Must be able to perform under stressful conditions with a compassionate, respectful, and helpful manner.

Must be able to take direction.
