Actively supervise students in the hallways, bathrooms and classrooms to ensure a safe environment.

Assist in taking daily student attendance.

Assist in classroom setup before and after program activity.

Distribute, collect, store instructional materials and/or sports equipment/games.

Reports To: Assistant Program Manager

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions Of Employment & Appeal Rights

Medical and dental health plans

Relieves teachers such as yard, hall, lavatory, study hall and other monitorial and patrol duties

Handles, stores, and distributes text books, instructional supplies and special materials

Assists with clerical work of a routine nature

Assists in maintaining order in the lunchroom and facilitates lunch service

Assists with school clerical work of a routine nature.

Checks reports, notes, library lists, etc.

BA or BFA in Dance or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Interface with public and manage marketing and communications with students and parents.

Manage mentoring and training opportunities for new staff members with the assistance of senior staff members.

1-3 years studio dance teaching experience with children and adults

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications

Some (typically 6 months- 1 year) administrative experience

Experience coordinating and/or managing programs in an educational, non-profit, and/or human services setting;

Demonstrate experience with federal programs and/or working with schools in school improvement;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills;

Must be able to work with students of all ages and abilities.

Evaluate students to determine appropriate skill level.

Master’s degree or higher, or equivalent professional experience preferred with significant interest and experience in teaching violin.

Minimum of 5 years teaching experience required; conducting experience preferred.

Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be available to teach on Wednesdays - other days are flexible.
