Collateral Specialist Jobs

Daily reporting to management of outstanding document exceptions to avoid penalties and the delay of loan sales

1-3-year(s) experience in mortgage funding/closing environment preferred

Working knowledge and proficiency on all Microsoft Office products (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)

Review funding loan packages to ensure that closing documents are included and correct

Utilize document management software to track and monitor the status and location of collateral files.

2+ years in an office environment with previous filing experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel and Word) Familiarity with mortgage loan documentation is preferred but not required.

Technical and/or other Essential knowledge:

Assist in the organization, sorting, and maintenance of collateral documents related to mortgage loans.

Ensures accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all collateral files.

Prepare documentation and process maps on collateral process and management for use in company reporting and presentations.

Record documents and manage UCC filings and releases.

Paralegal or real estate experience with functional understanding of real estate loan documents.

Meticulous organization skills, attention to details

Communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders regarding collateral status

Experience with external relationship management, including technology vendors, prime brokers, banks, etc.

Effectively manage and support the development of HRT’s collateral management platform.

5 - 8+ years experience working in US securities financing.

Strong knowledge of the global collateral construct a significant positive.

Knowledge of cross-asset collateral is a significant positive.

Knowledge of the post-trade life cycle of equities, treasuries, futures, FX, and/or options.

Maintain current knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations, along with the Bank’s policies and procedures

Good verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of lending documents

Word processing and spreadsheet skills

Organizational skills and attentions to detail

High school graduate or equivalent. Additional related training or certification preferred

Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and project management and skills, maintaining high attention to detail

Serves as the primary contact for all matters relating to loan operations in conjunction with the ABL Portfolio Management.

Works with clients to resolve reporting inadequacies and problems and escalates to senior management as necessary.

Sets up, monitors, and follows-up on collateral, financial, and other reporting requirements in the loan system.

Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a collateral monitoring capacity in asset-based lending required.

Experience with Solifi ABL preferred.

This position may underfill as a Collateral Valuation Analyst I if the applicant pool dictates.

Conduct on-site inspections of commercial and agricultural property improvements to support collateral valuation services.

Collect, investigate, document, and maintain comparable sales information.

Complete collateral evaluations for agricultural and commercial real estate, as well as prepare chattel evaluations on equipment, machinery, and aircraft, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned such as special projects.

Hiring Range: $56,168 - $70,203

Strong focus on time management and multi-tasking

Prior experience/ knowledge of vehicle title handling

High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial services, operations, or customer service setting)

Experience with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook or comparable software application

Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
