Overview Classification Officers are responsible for the classification of documents and other materials in accordance with established procedures and standards. They are responsible for ensuring that documents are accurately classified and that the classification is in line with the organization’s policies and procedures. Classification Officers must be able to interpret and apply the relevant laws, regulations, and policies in order to ensure the accuracy of the classification. Detailed Job Description Classification Officers are responsible for the classification of documents and other materials in accordance with established procedures and standards. They are responsible for ensuring that documents are accurately classified and that the classification is in line with the organization’s policies and procedures. Classification Officers must be able to interpret and apply the relevant laws, regulations, and policies in order to ensure the accuracy of the classification. They must also be able to identify and address any discrepancies or errors in the classification process. Classification Officers must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies

• Ability to identify and address discrepancies or errors in the classification process
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
Job Knowledge
Classification Officers must have a thorough knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies in order to accurately classify documents and other materials. They must also have a good understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures in order to ensure that the classification is in line with the organization’s standards.
