Responsible for the management and scheduling of their assigned students; perform flight and ground instruction as assigned by supervisory personnel

Instructor abilities will be evaluated primarily by the Stage Check pass rates of students

Attend mandatory standardization training and perform Solo Monitor duties when required

Provide administrative documentation pertinent to student training within prescribed time limits

Develop and prepare course outlines, study materials, and instructional procedures for student enrolled in basic, advanced, or instrument ground school

Lecture on various subjects such as aircraft construction, federal aviation regulations, and ratio navigation

Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills

Must have a CFI & Medical (We will accept applications from candidates within 3 months of obtaining their CFI)

Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate

Must be able to reliably commute to our office in Loveland, Colorado

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to a four-year technical degree and six or more years progressively complex aviation experience.

Equivalent professional aviation experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Progressively complex aviation experience must include work done as an instructor pilot in a formal training program.

Must have excellent organization skills including planning and coordinating work assignments.

Completion of the Air Combat Command Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement.

Ability to meet AFI 11-2 MQ-1/9, Volume 1, Chapter 2 Instructor Pilot Prerequisites prior to certification as an MQ-1/9 IP.

Manages student workload of 3-8 students in pursuit of FAA Pilot certificates.

Manages student records, endorsements and TSA documents for the flight school.

Knowledge of Federal Aviation regulations and related operational procedures

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

A degree of dexterity is required for preflight operations and other requirements to hold an FAA 2nd class medical.

Manage the operation and functions of the vertical wind tunnel

As needed, perform CSR responsibilities such as, check-in guests, confirm flyer reservations, answer incoming sales calls, stock merchandise, and process refunds.

Safety – Promote customer safety throughout their time in the wind tunnel and facility

Sales – Sell return visits and other exciting flight opportunities per company guideline

Ensure personal currency requirements are being met in adherence to FAA requirements; as well as annual TSA recurrency, as directed.

Pay Range: $84,525.00 - $143,750.00 This is based on the level of experience, skills and qualifications.

Maintain Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Evaluate and measure trainee progress and recommend for qualification, or additional training.

If no ATP, must meet the requirements of:

14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.

Preferred: FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience;

Must meet all currency requirements regarding instrument flight time and night landings required

Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements

Prepare annual operating budget, which includes all operating expenses. Monitor operating budget monthly.

Coordinate aircraft maintenance efficiently so as not to interfere with flight operations.

Coordinate aircraft handling and fueling with Fixed Based Operators (FBO).

Establish and monitor security procedures to protect the aircraft and company facilities.
