3+ years of experience in backend automation.

Experience in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites.

Hands-on experience with planning, designing, executing tests and knowledge of performance and stress testing

Proficient at testing and evaluates in-house and third-party software to ensure compliance with organizational standards and requirements

Handles the most complex issues and possesses expert knowledge of subject matter

Competencies: detail oriented, planning skills, analytical thinking skills, leadership skills

Has proven, advanced experience in identifying the relationship of bugs to software code

5+ years of Quality Engineering and/or test engineering experience

Job Responsibilities (core responsibilities; include people management if applicable)

The Automation Engineer is responsible system owner (RSO) of automation and building management systems

Seek for time or money saving efforts through statistical analysis of process and utility data for proactive management of risk

Provide technical assistance to management team

Experience with networking including but not limited to VLAN, Subnets, IP protocols.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

Works closely with Project Manager/Engineer to meet project time line and within budget.

Reviews, understands and interprets requirements/specification accurately for integration into design of equipment.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electronics/electrical/software application engineering.

Advanced knowledge of automation equipment assembly and installation.

Exposure to commercial mobile manual/automation test management packages (Perfecto, Experitest-SeeTest, MobileLabs, SauceLabs, etc)

To test and validate acceptance criteria on all customer-impacting user stories for a financial service in the Chase Mobile App(s).

To write functional test based on acceptance criteria and link the functional tests to regression cycles.

To leverage in-house tools (ie Splunk, Quantum Metrics) to monitor feature stability.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Bachelor's degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Identifies project risks, quantify risk/benefit relationships and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation

Mentors less experienced team members on QA/QC concepts, methodologies and best practices

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Experienced in Software QA automation

Owns the startup of new automation systems by ensuring code and configurations meet specifications and validation requirements.

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with three (3) years of automation experience.

Experience in Sterile Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Medical Device Industry is preferred.

Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, organizational planning, and social skills.

Provides supporting data from automation systems to support production or quality investigations and improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with validation teams to ensure all modifications to automation systems maintain GMP standards (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ).

Experience using JIRA (or similar) and Test Management software (Test Rail or similar)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation using Java, Python, Bash, or C++

Working experience of Embedded programming using C or C++

Experience working with hardware software integration solutions

Strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system

Basic knowledge of Electronics and understanding of serial communications such as RS 232, 485 and 422 protocols
