General Purpose:

To provide leadership, direction, quality assurance, and accountability for the department’s programming, including, but not limited to, CHSAA rules, NCAA portal course approval and eligibility; as well as building and maintaining external relationships with external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following statements regarding this exempt level position consist of duties, responsibilities, frequency, and percentages describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the leader filling this position.   • Manage and support troubleshooting for users of GOAL’s learning platforms, including, but not limited to, course and instructional functionality, quality end user experience, and user account support. While GOAL IT manages our platform integrations, it is the responsibility of the coordinator to know each of the platforms used in their programming as an expert to provide direct support to TOSAs, teachers, and the IT team.
  • Develop and maintain the program’s content within GOAL Staff Resource Center. The coordinator is responsible for assuring the up-to-date accuracy and alignment of the materials available to all staff.
  • Establish effective liaison with the various offices, organizations and agencies within GOAL and the community that may provide platforms, content or professional support to the department. This includes, but is not limited to, contract negotiations, financial processes to secure services, and working with stakeholders to ensure the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Supervise, support and evaluate the coaches (teams and clubs) as program developers, student participation and engagement in specified programming, and providers of professional development and training.
  • Collaborate with principals and coordinators to continuously improve programming for GOAL. Most feedback will come through regional leaders, requiring the coordinator to troubleshoot and work through root cause analysis to develop quality adjustments to best serve our teachers and students.
  • Develop and maintain the annual revision of GOAL athletic and activity offerings, including, but not limited to, appropriate dates and titles aligned with up-to-date training materials, review of adjusted content for quality and alignment, and assurance of clear organized materials.
  • Maintain and manage proper coverage of programming throughout the year. GOAL does not provide substitute coverage for coordinators on extended PTO/leave, requiring the coordinator to ensure adequate, on going support to that department including, but not limited to, program content, support of athletic and activity coaches, leads and volunteers, and professional development/training.
  • Support the implementation of New Hire Orientation for staff. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring the availability to onboard new hires to the team, the quality of each new hires experience, and evaluating the long-term success of the departments on boarding program.
  • Develop processes to gather and analyze data for program evaluation and needs assessments for program planning and improvement.
  • Develop and foster relationships with local school districts where GOAL students participate in athletics and activities. Including, but not limited to, starting and maintaining local MOUs, and weekly student eligibility reports based on MOU requirements.


Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Education:

  • Master’s Degree in education or another related field required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or another related field required


Experience:

  • Two years in school leadership preferred.
  • Five years in an educational athletic setting required.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Colorado Principal License preferred.


Or other background demonstrating application of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Advanced work history of verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak to large and small groups of people and draft/publish documents and/or materials relating to social work.
  • Exceptional background in conflict resolution skills. Ability to mediate conflicts (e.g., between students, staff, parents, or community members) while promoting the school core values.
  • Advanced and demonstrated working knowledge of school counseling and associated programs.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in implementing programs that increase student achievement with high- poverty and at-risk populations.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting professional obligations through efficient work habits, such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others. Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with regard to students and families.
  • Solid background in identifying appropriate learning environments for at-risk students.
  • Demonstrated history and background meeting compliance requirements for grant funded programs.
  • Understands the benefits of continuous learning and takes responsibility for professional development.
