Supports DESE initiatives and programming related to athletics

Manages inventory, issuance, and maintains accurate records of issued apparel and equipment to coaches, student-athletes and support staff.

Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) regulations in the performance of job duties

Auburn University Athletics is excited to begin the search for an Athletics Equipment Assistant Manager!

Procures apparel and equipment according to university policies and procedures, while adhering to allocated athletics apparel and equipment budgets.

Identifies and evaluates relevant equipment safety technology advancements, available modalities, quality standards, and recovery apparel to optimize student-athletes’ safety.

Assisting in the development of efficient HR practices for accomplishing management goals;

Coordinating the annual Open Enrollment of Benefits for staff members;

Demonstarted experience multi-tasking and managing multiple critical projects at one time working in a deadline-oriented, high volume, high pressure environment.

Demonstrated experience in interpreting, analyzing, advising on, and implementing policies, procedures, and regulations related to all facets of human resources administration.

Good judgment and problem solving skills while operating in a flexible and professional manner.

The HR Coordinator, Athletics responsibilities include:

Extensive experience in higher education setting with at-risk Division I student athletes

Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications

Strong knowledge of college student development theory and of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations, specifically pertaining to eligibility

Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in advising or counseling

Tracks, monitors, communicates, and forecasts regarding academic progress towards degree and NCAA continuing eligibility benchmarks/Academic Progress Rate (APR)

Provides an overview of the Academic Support Services to recruits visiting campus.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and or experience.

Knowledge and experience with athlete tracking and other monitoring systems/techniques.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with multiple sports in a professional, collegiate, or private sector setting.

Meet the physical requirements for the job, including the ability to participate in and lead strenuous physical activity.

CPR Certification or obtained within six months of employment.
