Athletic Equipment And Facilities Supervisor Jobs

Hire, train and manage student staff to ensure coverage in a variety of capacities.

Create and manage student worker plans including; goals and objectives, improvement plans or termination plans, if necessary.

Manage the hiring process for student-workers to ensure SCU HR compliance.

Manage student worker handbook and guidelines.

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In the event of an emergency, take charge of the situation and determine the safest course of action.

Previous equipment management experience preferred (collegiate or professional).

Respond to management, support staff employees, coaching staff, and player requests, to appropriately distribute team apparel and/or surplus equipment.

Liaising with vendors and suppliers on behalf of senior management

Conduct routine building inspections and coordinate work with senior management

Assists the Equipment Manager as needed.

Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Minimum 10 years of proven experience in fleet, facilities, and equipment management, with 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Develop and execute a comprehensive fleet management strategy, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal, to meet operational needs and budgetary goals.

Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team responsible for fleet, facilities, and equipment management.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Strong understanding of fleet management software, facilities management systems, and equipment maintenance tools.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to state and federal fleet safety, facilities compliance, and equipment maintenance.

Proficient computer skills, including experience with facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Three years of experience in athletic facility management, preferably in a collegiate athletic department.

Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all athletic facilities, including fields, courts, gyms, and associated areas.

Bachelor's degree in sports management, facility management, or a related field.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines, such as ADA requirements and NCAA rules.

Manage stocking of appropriate equipment for athletic store

Work with game day managers to ensure teams have water

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with strong motivation to serve a community of faculty, staff and students.
