Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Knowledge and experience with NCAA compliance rules and regulations.

Experience working in a collegiate or professional football program.

Knowledge of recruitment process for Division I football student-athletes.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Power 5 Football Conference experience.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.

Shoot, edit, deliver entertaining long-form features that showcase the world-class student-athlete experiences at Alabama State University

Shoot, edit, and deliver high quality video content

Shoot, edit, and deliver innovative social media content that immediately grab the attention of social media audiences

Shoot, edit, and deliver higher-energy videos

Organize and adhere to internal workflows so projects are easily shared

Deliver videos that uniquely and creatively engage audiences to drive ticket sales and event attendance at ASU Stadium

Coordinates all athletic video operations, not including team/coach video

Serves as liaison and coordinates with ESPN, AAC and production company for ESPN+ campus production broadcasts for all required sports

Coordinates with marketing/Golden Hurricane Sports Properties on game presentations including pre- and post-production work

Video athletic news conferences for media and website distribution

Post interviews, highlights for media usage and produce video highlight packages for social media and website

Purchases, maintains and repairs equipment as necessary

Strong supervisory skills to oversee video crews in a varied range of live video productions.

Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with students, parents, faculty, staff and visiting industry professionals.

General knowledge and functionality in all aspects of Video Production Workflows including basic video editing.

Concerts, Clinics and other presentations by students, faculty and Visiting Artists are captured daily as supervised by the Production Assistant.

To maintain consistent delivery of quality content department staff tracks daily progress for review and to share updates with the Director.

Flexibility to shift work hours to accommodate projects scheduled outside normal work hours. (Can include weekends and holidays when needed.)

Three (3) years of experience in football operations at the collegiate or professional level.

Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Football program, the Athletics Department and the University.

Expected to know and follow NCAA rules and regulations

Must work flexible, sometimes long hours during Football Pre-Season and Football Regular Season

Maintains a broad knowledge of state of art technology and systems as it relates to the Athletic industry.

Oversees and handles all video and technological needs for coaches as it relates to Athletic specific sports systems and equipment.

Prepares and executes a schedule of production to complete and regularly communicates progress.

Acquires films on upcoming opponents.

Produces and delivers all creative video content for weekly highlights using appropriate video editing platforms.

Handle all film exchanges and uploading for the football program.

Coordinate all practices and game film using XOS video system.

Minimum Years of Experience Required

Assistant Director of Video Production - Football

Athletics Administration - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23001464)

Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic arts, design, or related field (or international equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience;

Working knowledge and ability to utilize social media programs such as Twitter and Instagram and deliver videos to those platforms.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships;

Working knowledge of and ability to operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment;

Some video production and editing experience (one to three years) in an intercollegiate football program;

Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Three years of experience using Catapult Thunder or DV Sport.

One year of professional experience using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or Avid.

Required License / Registration / Certification

Manage the Catapult Thunder and Catapult ThunderCloud network, used by the coaching staff.

Prefer demonstration of highlight videos and/or film breakdown.
