Communication & Personal Selling Skills

Complete weekly meetings with Trainers to review business plans and work on business and technical skill development

Mentor Personal Trainers and provide feedback, giving them tools to improve and develop stronger sales and customer service skills

Manage NMI process confirmation calls to members and attendance of the new members

Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Wellness Director

Remain current on certifications and new trends in the fitness industry

Demonstrated professional experience in delivering fitness and/or exercise educational classes or trainings for staff and participants.

Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and ability in staff development, supervising, mentoring, training, and evaluating of employees, and practicum/interns.

Experience working in a higher education environment and/or experience working in a large complex and public facing organization.

B.S. in Public Health, Kinesiology/Exercise Science, Sciences, Health Promotion, Education, or related field.

Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or Sports Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Health Education, Recreation, Sport Management, Higher Education, or related field

Skill in developing and implementing risk management protocols

Experience in supervision of personnel and participants, purchasing processes, and payroll management

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of recreation program management.

Work with computer software applications including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet, recreation management, and email

One (1) year nursing management experience preferred

Experience in assisted living, home health or long term care industries.

Two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse preferred

Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up and triage.

Works with DHW and assists as assigned with those duties

Creates and posts a timely schedule for all personal care staff.

Ability to mentor and supervise students with understanding of training/leadership development and performance management.

Meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction and budget management.

Marketing, Safety, & Risk Management

Possess strong leadership, oral and written communication skills, and conflict resolution skills.

Detail oriented and highly organized with ability and knowledge to purchase equipment/supplies and maintain accurate records and files.

Ability to make sound independent judgments and possess strong critical thinking skills, and ability to work appropriately with high level constituents.
