Zund Digital Cutter Operator - First Shift

Job Purpose:

• Setup, operate and produce finish-cut, printed products to match job ticket expectations and scheduling requirements.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review job tickets, and produce printed products according to specifications.
• Maintains record of product produced, and manually records all necessary information per department procedures.
• Performs appropriate maintenance on equipment as required.
• Verifies quality as job is ran to insure no changes in quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Enters all appropriate information in Pace Software system.
• Cleans up equipment and work area as needed.
• Moves finished materials to appropriate location when complete.
• Checks first off runs to ensure that requirements are met and product matches proofs.

Qualifications:

• 1-year experience running a production machine with performance expectations is a minimum requirement.
• Stand for full 8 + hour shift.
• Organization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Self-motivated and ability to multitask.
• Digital and/or Wide Format printing experience is a plus.
• A positive "Yes, I will help you with that" attitude towards external and internal customers.
• General safety awareness and compliance.
• Zund cutter or router experience a plus.
• Must be fluent in measurements: able to read a tape measure, add and subtract, and work with fractions and decimals;
• Be available to work overtime and weekends as customer demands dictate.
• High School diploma or GED;
• Basic computer skills.
• Problem solving and decision-making skills.
