What You Will Learn


The Manager of Education serves as national trainer, and primary creator and facilitator for education seminars and tools; delivering compelling and effective trainings across all retailers and axes (skincare, makeup, and fragrance). This role is responsible for the creation of conversion-driven education content to engage the field, retailers, and BA community. As an integral part of the Retail Experience team, the ideal candidate is a creative-minded self-starter with exceptional presentation skills, and demonstrates a passion for service, product, artistry, and brand storytelling. This position reports directly to the Director, Education & Artistry.


Required Qualifications


What We Are Looking For:


  • Track record of effective working relationships across levels: brand leadership, retailers, BAs, and clients
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Must be able to travel for the needs of the business (30%)
  • Expert knowledge of computer programs – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, strategic & creative mindset, collaborative leadership
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Exceptional artistry & makeup application skills
  • Minimum of 5+ years professional experience as a beauty educator in cosmetic or retail management
  • Proficient knowledge and awareness of beauty industry, market, and competitive trends
  • Socially savvy and understanding of digital content creation, including video and training tools


Judgment And Decision Making


This position must be a self-starter who is able to manage projects, schedule, and full role responsibilities with intermittent supervision. Must be able to successfully collaborate with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders from L’Oreal field, US headquarters and global teams.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Drive Fragrance & Beauty Artistry & Client Engagement via exceptional training content and delivery


  • Develop coaching tools/programs for BAs and field teams on selling skills, product knowledge, & application technique across all brand axes
  • Collaborate closely with the National MUA to ensure consistent tone of voice, brand messaging, and luxury service are communicated across all touchpoints
  • Conceptualize, design, and produce impactful training content for all retailers in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Understand coaching needs of brand and retailer Beauty Artist population to develop meaningful education content
  • Provide support and guidance to the field makeup artists/trainers as a point of contact, from an education standpoint
  • Manage and develop training content, with creation of engaging education tools across all axes (skincare, makeup, fragrance)

  • Visit local markets as needed to conduct trainings and develop relationships with local retail teams
  • Conducts needs assessments, identifies gaps in skills or knowledge and executes trainings as required to improve performance of Artistry Program and BA
  • National trainer and primary facilitator for education seminars across all retailers and axes (skincare, makeup and fragrance)
  • Deliver compelling and effective trainings to include monthly BA onboarding, seasonal RSS training, seasonal seminars, field team ‘train the trainers’ & retailer specific training

  • Provide educational support to the development of Artistry programs and transversal support of Regional and Metro Artists
  • Create retailer event animations across online and offline platforms to positively impact client experience and retail sales

  • Drive Artistry Program client engagement via maintenance of professional social media account, social media calendars, and in alignment with local needs and brand direction.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in authoring, shooting, editing, and delivering relevant social assets that resonate with brand objectives and consumer targets.
  • Managing social priorities with brand ethos at all times.
