Location: The Woodlands, TX
- Process the region’s Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests from customers, contractors and other stakeholders
- Develop and lead safety related training programs to increase proficiency in safe practices & behaviors as well as satisfy company and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the Airgas Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management System for assigned facilities, conduct regular audits to identify existing or potential safety and health hazards, and recommend corrective or preventative measures when necessary to area and regional management teams.
- Responsible for providing the region’s EPA Tier II Reporting notifications to Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) and Fire Departments in accordance with EPA regulatory requirements
- Manage the region’s DOT compliance activities to include compiling and keeping current Driver Qualification File documentation, scheduling DOT medical evaluations, and assisting with the annual driver Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review process
- Work with the Corporate Risk Management team and the company’s Third Party Administrator (TPA) to manage the region’s Workers Compensation, General Liability and Physical Liability claims to help reduce costs and ensure the necessary actions are taken for resolution
- Maintain the region’s regulatory licenses, permits & registration process to include notifying agencies of any document or personnel changes, applying for new documents as needed and ensuring that the documents are kept current and renewed as needed
- Perform accident / incident investigations to determine immediate cause as well as root cause; recommend changes to correct and prevent reoccurrence.
- Assist in the formulation of general safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Compile the region’s safety-related Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data for corporate and region management review
Required Qualifications And Competencies
- Must possess valid state driver's license, clean driving record, and appropriate level of auto insurance coverage.
- Minimum 1-3 years of previous experience in handling Workers Compensation, General Liability and Physical Liability claims and working directly with a Third Party Administrator (TPA).
