/Responsibilities

The Web/UX Designer role at Sazerac is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to craft outstanding digital experiences for iconic brands like Buffalo Trace, Fireball, Southern Comfort, and more. As part of our diverse, collaborative team, you'll focus on developing visually captivating designs for websites, web applications, emails, and more, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Update content and design elements using image production and web development skills (HTML, CSS), ensuring consistency and quality.
• Design and create visually appealing designs for websites, web applications, emails, blogs, and other digital platforms, with a focus on layout, user interface elements, and presentation formats (mobile vs. desktop).
• Document design standards, contribute to documentation and interface guidelines, and actively promote design best practices.
• Stay current with web and email design techniques, approaches, and best practices to enhance visual appeal, performance, and user experience.
• Collaborate with project owners and clients to gather requirements, create mock-ups, and iterate on design concepts.
• Ensure consistent application of accessibility standards across all projects.
• Design and maintain digital assets, including images and graphics, within web content and digital asset management systems, adhering to best practices for formats, naming standards, and storage.
• Integrate user-centered design methodologies and UX deliverables (personas, principles, guidelines, wireframes, etc.) where appropriate, to enhance the overall user experience.

Qualifications:

• Consistently able to produce high-quality work on time
• Showcase a strong design portfolio emphasizing expertise in web and digital design, responsive design, and mobile-first approaches
• Capable of self-direction, working efficiently under pressure, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and big-picture thinking
• Experienced in design tools such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, Premiere and After Effects is a plus.
• Experienced with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Display eagerness to acquire knowledge and expertise in web design
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to quality and accuracy
• Apply strong time management, priority-setting, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• 5 years experience designing web properties
• Possess in-depth knowledge of visual design principles, typography, color theory, layout, and branding, along with experience in creating and implementing design systems and style guides
• Familiar with major browsers and able to create sites/systems compatible with varying browser capabilities
• Knowledgeable about accessibility best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Proficient in interface and visual design principles for web-based applications and sites
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
