The Mortgage Solutions business is a top 10 Jumbo Mortgage Originator in the US with $65+ billion in outstanding mortgage balances and exclusively serves the clients of the JPMorgan Private Bank and J.P. Morgan Wealth Management businesses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior Mortgage Specialists to market and promote JP Morgan’s mortgage solutions platform to JP Morgan banking partners, clients, prospects, and third party centers of influence
- Assist with the underwriting development process, including identifying thorough financial packages for underwriting purposes, proactively identifying solutions for potential underwriting issues, and detailed credit risk analysis
- Joint ownership with senior Mortgage Specialists in advising and delivering residential real estate solutions for JP Morgan Wealth Management Clients
- Respond efficiently and effectively to client and internal inquiries
- Analyze client balance sheets and cash flow to formulate a mortgage solution that meets the client's needs and is consistent with the firm's risk parameters
- Daily proactive management of loan origination process, including: liaising with clients, coordinating with key internal partners, third parties (attorneys, title companies, CPAs, etc.); submission of mortgage applications, completing pricing tools, and coordinating all steps needed for an efficient and timely closing of each deal
- Identify and structure mortgage loan opportunities during conversations with clients, Bankers and/or other integrated team members
- Respond to data quality questions and research/resolve all issues
- Ensuring client needs and expectations are consistently met and/or exceeded
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for our clients and internal partners
- Coordinate the application, origination and closing process end-to-end, including receipt of all necessary documentation from clients and/or Bankers
Required Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities:
- Ability to handle a high volume of client and Banker communication and requests for information while multi-tasking
- Strong partnership and relationship building skills to work effectively with internal teams (Bankers, Lending Specialists, Underwriters, etc) and external constituents as needed for each transaction
- Self-motivated and ability to facilitate change
- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; sense of urgency & critical thinking
- Ability to consistently deliver accurate and organized work
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Preference for bilingual speakers
- Exemplary professional disposition, presence, punctuality and ownership over professional development
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience preferred
