Lendmarq is looking for a Real Estate Closer (“Closer”) for Business Purpose Loans in Westport, CT office.

As a Closer, you will be responsible for hands-on management for nationwide real estate closing and post- closing administration from start to finish. You will work closely with lenders, brokers, correspondents, legal counsel, title companies, vendors, and stakeholders with minimal direction in handling the Company’s loan closings. Problem solving and attention to detail are key components for this role and superior customer service and communications skills are needed.

Location: Onsite: Westport, CT

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30 p.m., with additional timeframes as business needs require

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Disbursement and all post-closing including recordings
• Work with Underwriters to assist clients and real estate professionals with resolving clearance of all files prior to closing to ensure clear title.
• Coordinate with lenders and prepare closing packages
• Responsible for the oversight of recording of documents with Title Company, issuance of title policies, upon closing
• Perform due diligence to ensure all liens and judgments are addressed, and title is clear before closing
• Create and review legal documents for closings: review mortgages, title, liens, judgments, contracts, entity documents, agreements
• Escrow follow-Up calls and coordinates releases
• Order, review and prepare title commitments, searches, surveys
• Ability to function well under pressure in closing transactions and managing vendors
• Preparation of any endorsements/amendments to title as needed
• Calculate, examine, and prepare HUD Settlement Statements, Deeds and Transfer Documents and work with clients to effectively prepare for closing.
• Review reports and searches provided by external abstractors.
• Schedule and lead smooth closings- free of errors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or an associate in combination with relevant work experience will be considered
• Flexibility to adapt to peak periods of heavy workload and pressure
• Attention to process and detail, recalculations of fees, etc.
• Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with Company policies and procedures Ability to work under strict and/or tight timelines
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Ability to stay organized to easily retrieve information and documents as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial loan transactional documents, commercial loan structures/terms, and GL accounting
• Proficient with technology, including CRM
• Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic to achieve company goals
• Experience working with a title company/ or title insurance company, lending platform, and or law firm is ideal
• ​Take ownership of closing pipeline, CRM, and generate timely and accurate reporting; work without direct supervision
