A day in the life…


As a Creative Design and Inclusive Strategies Intern you will work with the team responsible for developing and communicating creative concepts and updated, relevant content/guidelines for theme park attractions, and/or other themed entertainment venues.


The Creative Development and Inclusive Strategies team influences, creates content/product that fosters, informs, and fuels ideation and collaboration for Disney Parks Experiences & Products Cast Members, Employees and Imagineers. The team partners and facilitates the development and delivery of inclusive stories, programs & experiences for our global audience, consumers & guests. You will have the opportunity to:


  • Oversee peer review process documents and consultant agreements
  • Collaborate with other team members in developing ideas which may include participation in brainstorming sessions for updating current or new experiences
  • Work on multiple projects that foster growth, learning, and awareness of different cultures
  • Coordinate logistics for various DE&I programs, guidelines, and guardrails
  • Partner with Program leader to report schedule milestones and scope content
  • Interface with various internal functional managers, external speakers, and organizations


What We Are Looking For…


  • Knowledge and well-versed in multiple cultures, subjects, styles, and artistic media
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with DE&I best practices in gender and culture
  • Ability to work with diverse group of people
  • Good visual storytelling and data interpretation skills
  • Strong graphic design skills


Preferred Qualifications


  • Link to a portfolio of prior creative work
  • Basic Photoshop or Illustrator skills (or other Adobe Suite products)
  • Proficiency in Presentation tools such as Keynote or PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Research tools and/or database management tools
  • Ability to organize multiple layers of documentation
  • Basic understanding of project lifecycle process
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and cloud file storage systems


Required Education


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Training in arts, hospitality, theater, or entertainment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and interface across varied levels of management
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or must have graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a BA or BFA in the arts or in a related design field


Internship Eligibility


  • Must provide full work availability
  • Transportation - Must have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are late January 2024 through June 2024
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age


The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $25.50 per hour.
