This opportunity is exclusively for students who are currently on, or who have previously participated in a Disney College Program.

The Disney Programs Communications team is responsible for the reputation and brand management of Disney Programs (Disney College Program, Culinary Program and International Program). This means telling the great stories of our Program participants and communicating details across both internal and external platforms including company websites, email and social media. This team also partners with operations teams, key stakeholders and Program and housing partners to share communication directly with Program participants.


A Day in the Life…


We are looking for someone with a passion for Disney Programs, who can speak knowledgeably about program offerings and benefits and utilize their content creation skillset to support communication for and about our Program participants.


As a Communications Intern, some of your responsibilities could be…


  • Finding new and improved ways to reach our audiences and generate engagement
  • Attending program and housing events, trips and offerings to capture content and highlight the full program experience
  • Utilize graphic design skills to support creative needs for a variety of platforms including digital, social and print.
  • Writing and proofreading copy for a variety of platforms including print, digital and social
  • Collaborating with team members and partners to plan and produce content, always ensuring work adheres to brand guidelines and meets Disney’s high standards of quality
  • Creating communications materials such as blog articles, newsletters, emails and social media content for internal and external audiences
  • Helping to shoot and produce photo and video content for various Disney Programs-owned platforms
  • Supporting Program events, including arrivals and end-of-program capstone events


(Basic Qualifications)


What we are looking for…


  • Literacy in Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience with writing, content creation and social media in a professional setting
  • Current OR previous participation in the Disney College Program
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Some photography/videography experience
  • A team player who is able to build relationships, works well with others, shares ideas, and is receptive to feedback
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
  • Passion for content, social media and a deep understanding of digital storytelling


Required Education


  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or recent graduate) in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Social Media, Journalism, or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program, OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship


Additional Recruitment Information:


  • Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.

  • This role is hybrid – Candidate must be able to provide own housing and transportation in the Orlando, FL area.
  • Approximate dates of this internship are January 2024- June 2024
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a current participant on a Disney College Program OR an alumnus of the Program
  • IMPORTANT: An electronic online portfolio is required as part of this application process.   • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
