Waste Management Laborer Jobs

Essential Job Functions[HE1] :

• Participates in meetings, training and other company-related activities as scheduled.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.
• Seeks out the assistance of a supervisor to address questions and concerns.
• Immediately reports problems with tools, equipment, or work assignment directly to the supervisor or lead.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, including departmental policies and TX Racing Commission rules.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED; and 1 years related experience and/or training; or combination.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work in confined areas, tanks, heat stress conditions, high noise and areas with chemical hazards.
• Must be able to follow instruction
• Preferred familiarity with intermodal container maintenance
• Preferred familiarity with compliance issues related to Waste Acceptance Criteria
• Ability to carry several instruments/equipment or tools while walking extensively.
• Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents material if proper safety procedures are not followed.
• Must be familiar with working around heavy equipment and trucking operations
• Must be able to use hand tools
• Must be able to operate motorized a golf cart or gator.
• Must be capable of reviewing and approving hoisting and rigging plans as required

Training and Experience:

• 1 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

• Must be able to acquire and maintain a Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
• Class C driver license

Physical Requirements:

• Minimal exposure in close proximity to horses
• Will be required to lift up to or over 20lbs or exert occasionally over 100lbs
• Medium to Heavy workload
• Noise levels will be varied from moderate to heavy machinery
