Warehouse Supervisor Jobs

Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor works closely with sales, customer service and freight carriers to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. This is a full- time, at-will, salaried exempt position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide feedback through side-by-side coaching and on-the-job training
• Make recommendations to improve operational flows
• Assume responsibility for inventory accuracy, as well as order pick accuracy
• Reassign staff as necessary to meet throughput needs
• Coordinate the efficient use of the docks and space on the loading dock area.
• Assist with resolving problems to ensure maximum employee productivity; take necessary action to correct substandard performance
• Utilizing industry best practices, coordinate and prioritize the workload for the freezer operators, dock personnel and other staff to ensure that the correct product(s) is pulled, prepared and loaded to meet or exceed the customers’ requirements.
• Provide guidance in developing a culture of industry best practices utilizing proven labor utilization methods, warehouse space allocation and picking techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in the Warehouse Management System solving routine problems and guiding others in the effective use of warehousing technology
• Promote a continuous improvement environment
• Maintain the necessary records, logs and forms that keep CPFG in compliance with all current food safety requirements.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience with ERP software preferred
• Strong leadership skills; able to coach and mentor team members
• Possess computer skills with operational knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Previous experience with WMS, scanning equipment and the demonstrated ability to train others
