FULL DESCRIPTION: This position develops and maintains a high-performance warehouse team which contributes and works effectively with all departments and the management team. This position is ultimately responsible for executing the basics of warehouse operations – including shipping, receiving and inventory control, in an orderly and efficient manner.
The Selected Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• Effectively train staff in areas of product knowledge, safety and day-to-day duties
• Ensure that all employees understand and comply with company policies, procedures and expectations
• Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, proving both preventative maintenance programs and communicating all necessary repairs to Director of Operations
• Operate and train employees on stand-up forklift, sit down forklift, cherry picker, turret truck, reach truck, electric pallet jack and wave machine
• Ensure that warehouse employees are capable of safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Maintains effective and ongoing partnerships with customers both internally and externally
• Prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in a warehouse environment
• Plan and coordinates work schedule to accommodate times of heavy volume
• Handle general employee inquiries and solve problems
• Manage, develop, train, coach, motivate, and discipline employees
• Manage a team, set expectations, and help improve production and processes
• Ensures safe work environment and equipment operations in compliance with OSHA/CALOSHA
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations
• Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
• Oversee inventory control including overseeing cycle counts and inventory transfers
• Hire and manage a team of 10-15 employees and provide them with regular performance-related feedback, perform midyear performance reviews and perform annual performance reviews
• Effectively communicate ways to improve overall efficiency, workflow and production Implement process improvement initiatives

The Selected Candidate Will Also Possess

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control management and cycle counts
• Strong work ethic and team player mentality
• Forklift certification required
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve
• 2+ years of experience training employees in safety management
• Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) or similar software
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft office (Excel, Word etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced working environment
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills required

Salary Range: $80k-$85k/yr
