If you’ve ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI). Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Warehouse Manager in CPI’s Georgetown, TX location.
As a CPI Warehouse Manager, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world’s digital technology. Day to day, you will, manage the overall control and movement of materials in and out of the warehouse and offsite locations at all CPI Georgetown facilities. You will set daily priorities in the shipping & receiving, warehouse and inventory control areas. Coordinates daily assignments to maintain workflow. Develops and assures conformance against established objectives. Accountable for quality and quantity of work produced within the material control department. Ensures inventory accuracy by adherence to processes established within the Epicor E10 system, controlling the physical location and movement of inventory in the warehouse and on shop floor. Works with purchasing to ensure that inventory levels are optimized. Administers assigned safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Works closely with Safety Manager to ensure all procedures and processes are in compliance with OSHA regulations, which includes meeting standards of warehouse organization and cleanliness (6S). Manages forklift training program.
- Oversees and participates in daily warehouse operations, assisting with the resolution of raw material, product packaging or order fulfillment problems. Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current. Responsible for the development and administration of policies and practices that assure adequate protection of transmission and distribution inventory assets and the integrity of inventory records.
- Manages inventory control including, but not limited to, cycle counts, scrap material, consignment material, slow moving and obsolescence, CRA, and audits.
- Reviews inventory reports, production schedules, sales order reports, and other available material and devises plans for current and future material storage.
- Delegates work to material control personnel and coordinates activities on a daily basis.
- Develops and publishes KPI for materials department.
- Assists in the identification, development and management of Continuous Improvement projects within the department.
- Works closely with Safety Manager to ensure all procedures and processes are in compliance with OSHA regulations. Manages forklift training program.
- Assesses staffing needs from department plans and implements staffing programs as required, setting high standards in recruiting, attracting, retaining and motivating staff.
Additional Functions:
- Trains new employees on methods, procedures, and safety issues.
- Responsible for metric achievement rates as established by Management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of a variety of materials used in manufacturing.
- Three (3) years relevant work experience, including use of ERP system and man management.
- Ability to utilize various computer software programs for work processing, database, and spreadsheets.
- B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Ability to set and meet goals
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet and numerical analysis.
- Good communication, negotiating and delegation skills.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work in a manufacturing environment.
- Lift up to 25lbs.
- Working with a computer.
