General Foreman - Warehouse
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Columbus Warehouse
Position Summary
The Warehouse General Foreman will be responsible for all aspects of Warehouse operations at three sites, East Boulder, Stillwater Mine and the Columbus Warehouse. Ensuring a safe and environmentally excellent setting for each of the Warehouse teams is paramount. Responsibilities will include budgeting, inventory management, supply chain optimization, mentoring and leading Warehouse supervision and planning future warehouse and supply chain processes. The successful candidate will represent Sibanye-Stillwater and its values to all employees; coordinate resources and efforts to compliment other areas in realizing overall goals.
Essential Functions

• Be pro-active in all aspects of the warehouse operations; safety, effective and efficient utilization of resources, productivity, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and teamwork across the site.
• Work with site senior leadership teams at each of the mine sites in the continuing development of a focused, engaged warehouse culture throughout the organization.
• Regularly interact with the warehouse teams, demonstrating high-level leadership qualities.
• Review and adjustment of inventory stocking levels, monthly review of slow-moving inventory.
• Support Safety and Health Management and Environmental systems and regulatory compliance.
• Coach and mentor the various site leaders in accordance with Sibanye-Stillwater qualities.
• Lead site warehouse teams to ensure maximum productivity and equipment/process availability by safely optimizing warehouse systems.
• Provide leadership for safe and productive all Warehousing operations.
• Maintain a productive labor relations environment, minimizing unnecessary conflict.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

• Strong ability to coach and mentor others, both peers and subordinates.
• Understanding of accounting concepts and practices.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant warehouse experience, with a mix of planning and supply chain background.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in the preparation of operating and capital budgets.
• Leadership qualities including character, teamwork, communication, business sense, and vision.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience Preferred

• Solid understanding of JD Edwards platform
• Experience with underground mining methods preferred.
• Four-year degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
