Scope of Job

Receives, documents and processes packages in accordance with departmental procedures, identifies damages, shortages, or any other discrepancies and documents findings.

Description of Duties

• Validates package tracking database for accountability purposes; in instances where end-users are wanting a status of their merchandise.
• Processes materials in order to create manifest.
• Safeguards packages, equipment and any other tools and University property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Meets the supplies needs and demands of the Brownsville warehouse locations by evaluating levels of inventory and requests.
• Logs all delivery volume in database via desktop and remote laptop.
• Forklift experience or the ability to be certified within a year of hire.
• May assist with the delivery and verification of supplies and materials.

Licenses/Certifications

As condition of employment this position requires the applicant to be authorized to operate a University-Owned Vehicle for Official University Business. Per University of Texas System Policy 157, applicants will be subject to a motor vehicle record check for their most recent thirty-six (36) month history. Out of State Drivers are required to submit a 36-month history MVR from their prior State of residence(s).
