What is the GAS Technology group responsible for?
GAS Technology is responsible for the solutions estate that drives the distribution growth outcomes for our firm and includes Sales Enablement, Marketing Technology, Digital Enablement, and Data Insights and Analytics. Our team is in the midst of a multi-year transition from being a key enabler for the firm to a strategic differentiator for the firm. GAS technology is at the center of a growing firm that is positioning itself to compete in the constantly evolving financial services landscape.
What is VP-Technology responsible for?
We seek a highly skilled Vice President of Technology with experience in Sales Enablement solutions (Microsoft Dynamics and surrounding modules) to join our team. This critical member of the Global Advisory Services (GAS) Technology leadership team will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative technology solutions, managing software development teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems and work closely with executive management and other departmental leaders to identify opportunities to drive growth, process improvements and increase efficiencies for the client-facing and operational distribution teams of FT.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of VP-Technology?
  • Analyze, assess, and document current systems, processes, and requirements
  • Drive product roadmap and feature prioritization
  • Manage software development teams, including mentoring, training, and coaching
  • Develop and oversee adherence to technical standards and guidelines
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and deliverables
  • Lead technology strategy, planning, and innovation of Microsoft Dynamics products/platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project initiatives
  • Develop and manage vendor and supplier relationships
  • Oversee the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Technology leadership roles, including 5 years in sr. leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, SDLC, DevOps), data management protocols, and cloud computing
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Expert communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $250,000.00 - $290,000.00.
