This position is a hybrid role (2 days per week) for those located near the St Petersburg Florida or Baltimore, Maryland Franklin Templeton offices.
Technology Operations Analyst:
What is the Technology Operations Analyst responsible for?
Works with the Vendor Strategy Team and Franklin Templeton Technology managers to review, negotiate and process all contracts in the technology area. The contracts include software, hardware and service purchases and renewals. It also includes the tracking and life-cycle management of the contingent workforce within technology and the management of key vendors used for sourcing.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Technology Operations Analyst?
Contingent Worker and Vendor Management (Primary Responsibilities)
- Produce exception reports on a weekly basis. Work with Vendor Strategy and FTT Managers to resolve exceptions and improve internal processes
- Track Opens Items from all aspects of the governance framework
- Assist in the Service Level tracking across critical managed services contracts
- Assist in billing management of Managed Service Invoices
- Review of all presentation materials for Governance meetings and Participation in those meeting.
- Maintain Tracking Databases of for contingent workers within technology
- Participate in all aspects of the Vendor Management of primary sourcing vendor.
Contract Management (Secondary Responsibilities)
- Review and entry of contracts into FT systems as required.
- Overall tracking of technology contracts – adopt exist process and make improvements where possible
- Liaison with FTT managers and Legal on SOW status and assist with issue resolution
- Liaise with FTT managers and Legal on contract status and issues. Resolve issues as appropriate. Issues may relate to pricing, terms, service levels.
- Assist in the transition from legacy information management systems to a new consolidated system that will streamline the teams operation.
- Review and enter SOWs (Statements of Work) into FTT Systems. Maintain tracking of all inflight and executed SOW’s.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to perform system analysis, review system data, and make risk-based decision to resolve issues.
- Experience with Coupa Business Software a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced Excel Skills required. MS Access, SQL, or BI Tools a plus.
- Results oriented with experience working with senior levels of management
- Effective verbal, written and inter-personable communication skills.
- Ability to methodically breakdown a process or issue by asking critical, thoughtful questions.
- Advanced level knowledge in applying the systems management lifecycle.
- Experience in the areas of Cloud Computing; Distributed Computing; Information Security; Business Continuity; Disaster Recovery a plus
- Ability to take command and control of cross functional teams and direct personnel from multiple workgroups towards common goals and objectives.
- Strong English language skill, including the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with peers, co-workers, and management personnel from different countries and diverse backgrounds.
- Technology professional with 3-5 years of direct experience within the Contract Management discipline. Subject matter expertise in Contract Management
- Experience with project management methodologies, including Disciplined Agile Delivery or DevOps a plus.
- Any combination of a related associate or bachelor’s degree, certification, or 5 years of technology experience, plus 3-5 years of related experience.
- Financial Services industry experience, preferably Mutual Funds a plus

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $86,700 - $102,100
