The VP of Supply Chain is a senior-level position responsible for providing strategic supply chain direction and procurement strategies as it relates to all aspects of the organization's policies, objectives, and initiatives with a primary focus on Food and Beverage and the ability to provide guidance to procurement strategies in IT, and Construction. This role will support a growing company and oversee the supply chain and procurement operations strategy to provide the commodities and services to meet the organization requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. This role will lead directors of procurement and supply chain. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and works closely with management across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with our food standards and product specifications are met by our vendor partners.
• Evaluates and develops strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements processes for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams including, Operations, IT, Finance, R&D, and Construction to support Lazy Dog’s overall business objectives.
• Lead ongoing efforts to achieve continuous improvement of the supply chain function through evaluation of new technologies and industry best practices.
• Optimize logistics and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery of products to Lazy Dog Restaurants across the country by our third-party delivery partners.
• Works closely with Finance, Planning & Analysis team to accurately forecast supply chain costs and manages the adherence to the supply chain monthly/quarterly budgets.
• Partners with the head of R&D to source ingredients that meet the quality & price requirements of the organization for ongoing menu development.
• Accountability for management of all supply chain related budgets.
• Develop and maintain the supply chain strategy that aligns with overall company strategic direction, financial objectives, and guest experience to include commodity management, vendor selection and evaluation, contract management, competitive sourcing, and product planning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record of developing end-to-end strategies to improve supply chain efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Successful track record of influencing and decision-making at multiple levels, inside and outside an organization.
• Ability to lead a team through continuous change.
• Proven ability to build lasting relationships with trust and respect.
• Ability to think tactically and strategically to generate innovative cost-effective supply chain solutions that enable flexibility and responsiveness to sudden demand and/or supply changes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in high growth organizations.
• Ten + years of experience in supply chain strategy, product management, strategic sourcing, and procurement.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex contractual agreements and third-party relationships.
