VP of Equity Role:
HealthPoint is seeking a Vice President of Equity to establish a vision that embeds anti-racist and pro-equity strategies across the organization’s work in patient care, as an employer, and as a community health partner in the region. The VP of Equity reports to the CEO and is a senior leadership team member. HealthPoint leaders care deeply about inclusion and staff well-being and seek an experienced anti-racist and pro-equity practitioner to act as a thought partner amongst leaders in this role. A significant area of success for the incumbent will be establishing an anti-racist/pro-equity governance structure supporting long-term equity strategy development and program management.
This is the perfect role for an anti-racist/pro-equity leader with a strong strategic mindset and a commitment to ensuring HealthPoint is a great place to work and a great place to receive care. HealthPoint seeks a professional capable of applying an anti-racist and pro-equity lens to HealthPoint’s environmental landscape, which encompasses partnering with HealthPoint leaders and staff across the enterprise to shape and drive outcomes. The most competitive applicants will have proven ability to influence systems change and ensure anti-racist and pro-equity best practices are integrated across administration, operations, and organizational policy.
The successful candidate for this opportunity will have experience in the following areas:
- Leading as an aware practitioner: A strategic equity practitioner with a robust understanding of the social determinants of health amongst the people and communities served by HealthPoint will bring a strategic approach to addressing healthcare disparities in partnership with other leaders.
- Leading as a culture carrier: Courage to navigate challenges in developing and implementing sound anti-racist and pro-equity work in an enterprise-level organization. Skilled in navigating the nuances between systems, people, and communities.
- Participating as an effective collaborator: A connector who fosters collaboration amongst leaders and staff and ensures their voices are considered in the planning and execution of anti-racist/pro-equity strategy development and outcomes.
- Active advocacy: A policy developer eager to work with leaders and internal teams across the organization to ensure anti-racist/pro-equity policy and practice is clearly defined and reflected in the work of HealthPoint staff.
- Caring community partner: Focused leader capable of bringing a values-based anti-racist/pro-equity perspective to enhance existing external partnerships while developing new partnerships.
Other duties and responsibilities….
You’ll leverage your experience in the anti-racist and pro-equity learning and development space to grow a continuous learning and development strategy for HealthPoint staff. You’ll use your skills as a culture strategist to design and partner with others in developing programs and initiatives to support and improve upon inclusion and belonging across HealthPoint worksites.
You’ll serve alongside leaders and staff to shape and drive anti-racist/pro-equity strategies which align with HealthPoint’s values. You’ll act as a convener, proactively consulting others and working to spark meaningful discussions while fostering lasting internal and external partnerships which align HealthPoint’s anti-racist/pro-equity values to strategic outcomes and community needs. The ideal candidate is a focused leader curious about staff well-being and points of view and will creatively leverage staff voices in new ways.
HealthPoint seeks a team player motivated to partner with the VPs of Population Health, Community Engagement and External Relations, and Talent Management to bring about individual and collective equity outcomes for HealthPoint. This role requires an aware and experienced practitioner eager to work with other leaders to ensure HealthPoint executes sound equity and inclusion strategy. Additionally, the leader in this role drives approaches to workforce, healthcare, and community partnership planning and execution in keeping with equity and inclusion best practices.
In this role, you’ll use your creativity to support talent pipeline development in partnership with HealthPoint’s Talent Acquisition team to identify long-term planning and partnership opportunities with schools and community-based organizations. You’ll partner with the VP of Community Engagement to expand outreach and impact among community partners, work to scale current initiatives, and act as a willing partner amongst the community health center network. You’ll help develop new initiatives and services informed by patients, community partners, and staff.
