Job Description
Who we are looking for
This is an operational role within the Private Equity Fund Services Business Unit of the State Street Alternative Investment Solutions Group. The position interacts with all levels of professionals both internally and externally and with senior level executives of State Street. Therefore, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative, be able to perform well under pressure and be capable of managing multiple and diverse assignments. The position is responsible for managing departments experiencing significant growth.

What you will be responsible for
As Private Equity Analyst you will
  • Identify reporting/setup discrepancies and work with the client to resolve
  • Coordinate, setup, and maintain State Street’s Legal Entity/ investment/investor service process (both internal and external data) for a large FOF PE Client; enforce defined control functions including but not limited to structural setup, client interaction, activity postings, and internal communications.
  • Responsible for the direction and training of team members. Address employee concerns and sensitivities
  • Ability to multitask various inquiries/research along with follow-ups across a larger team
  • Ensure process and procedures are adequate to meet quality standards and are consistently applied and regularly reviewed within department
  • Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions to streamline setup/processing functions
  • Maintain tracking logs on various setup workflows that support Legal Entity Structural setup
  • Manage relationships with clients at appropriate levels to ensure continued confidence in State Street
  • Liaise with middle office and fund accounting teams to support timely delivery of setup activity & reporting that supports quarterly fund NAVs
  • Meet all requirements for the performance planning process including goal setting, regular and immediate feedback and submission of formalized performance appraisals
  • Assist with special projects, lead client communications, and task force assignments
  • Ability to work independently also amongst a larger fund group
  • Oversee ledger setup bookings related to Legal Entity/ investment/investor service processing

  • Excel skills (formulas – ex: pivot tables, sum-ifs, index-match, v-lookup)
  • Investran Proficiency (Super User/SME) preferred, but not required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-6 years of fund accounting/servicing or Private Equity servicing experienc
  • College degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
Private Equity Product Knowledge:
  • Private Equity Terminology
  • Investment/Investor onboarding and setup
  • ILPA best practices/knowledge- preferred, but not required
  • Workflows (from investor closings to legal entity quarterly financials)
  • Legal Entity Structures

Salary Range:
$75,000 - $127,500 Annual
