Job Summary

Responsible for leading, approving plans, strategy and execution of external and internal communications that directly impact the image, reputation and profitability of the business and its brands. Counsels executives on key reputation issues; directs public response to local crisis situations and product-specific issues.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identifying interesting stories to tell and working with the press to develop those tech feature stories on daily basis.
  • Manages teams and reviews concepts and campaigns to deal with complex issues of technology, policy and law, involving multiple issues and stakeholders, to achieve the Company's corporate affairs objectives.
  • Approves presentations of the public face of the company to a variety of interested parties, including shareholders and potential investors, employees, government departments, regulatory bodies, the media, local communities, pressure groups and campaigners.
  • Leads company voice in (and builds and strengthens the Company's relationship with) industry partners, trade associations, advocacy organizations, multi-lateral organizations and industry coalitions to more effectively shape and advance the industry's position on important public policy issues.
  • Create and execute strategic communications around complex technology and be able to simplify and
  • Serve as a strategist and communications counselor to senior executive teams on message development, crisis management, issues management and product launches.

  • Partner with the technology leadership organization to create a drumbeat of announcements that can be told through the press as well as social media and other activities.
  • Shape the technology narrative for the company by developing excellent relationships with the media,

Professional Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams to execute complex projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences is essential.
  • Hands-on with an ability to think strategically and execute personally – being able to do this effectively is key to success.
  • Keen communications intuition, strong interpersonal skills and a team-player approach.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
