JOB SUMMARY: The VP, Core Banking Technology Lead, Digital Banking is responsible for owning the technology stack for back-office banking platforms including Core Banking, Fraud, KYC/AML, Payments, and Servicing/CRM.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive SDLC processes for relevant scrum teams, leading ceremonies where appropriate, effort estimations, coordinate testing/releases and continuously align with broader team for dependencies.
  • Ensure issues are captured in post implementation reviews, to avoid recurrence.
  • Provide technology delivery leadership on all initiatives related to Core Banking, Fraud, KYC/, Payments, and Servicing/CRM, working in partnership with product managers, digital experience tech leads, vendor teams, and overall program management leads.
  • Oversee the execution of the technology strategy, while anticipating and prioritizing with the product managers, the impediments and technology risks for resolution.
  • Provide input to the prioritization of the product(s) backlog and roadmap
  • Define technology impacts of the project/workstream and accountable for technology delivery of the product roadmap as applicable.
  • Identify, analyze, and drive resolution of project risks and issues, working through the project structure, and reporting relationships in the Technology organization.
  • Engage appropriate technology stakeholders to identify and drive required outcomes through effective stakeholder management.
  • Work with all appropriate stakeholders associated with assigned project or workstream as needed to confirm the solutions are functionality aligned with the product vision and that solution is fit-for-purpose.
  • Responsible to manage technology third-party vendors and Statements of Work with a focus on performance, quality, and cost management as it relates to assigned project/workstream.
  • Responsible for the consideration of future production support implications with a cost-effective design and quality solution, inclusive of application resiliency and availability.
  • Establish a plan for all technology deployment(s) and work with program manager to align with the integrated plan and meet the needs of assigned project/workstream.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understanding and application of technology trends (banking industry, lending industry and overall best practices)
  • Ability to create/modify/communicate tech roadmap, and design/advocate for solutions that align to existing roadmaps
  • 7+ years of experience technology design, development, and delivery showing progression/promotion within the tech or financial services industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Preferred experience in JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong relationship building, influence skills and ability to productively interact with all levels of leadership
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field
  • Familiarity with financial services back office and fraud operations, core banking, and payments
  • Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills with tech and business audiences
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and competent use of other Microsoft Office applications
