Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Video Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the video needs of the Women’s Basketball program, including the production of opponent and self-scout cuts, recruiting videos, highlight videos, as well as more in-depth program videos, and other related projects. Create, organize, and present coaching staff with video of team practices, team games, and opponent game breakdowns. Maintain video equipment and coordinate storage of past games and practices. Manage video interns. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
Minimum of two year NCAA Division 1 or professional experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University and its employees and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (the “NCAA”) and the BIG Ten Conference.
  • Ability to work a flexible, non-standard schedule, and travel to numerous athletic and related events.
  • Proficient in HUDL Sportscode and Synergy software.

Preferences:
Preferences:
  • Three or more years NCAA Division 1 or professional experience preferably in field acquisition of athletic events, coach’s angles, or tight footage, and creating cutups.
  • Experience with scouting software’s and Adobe products.
  • Proficient with SportsCode.
  • Ability to recognize and breakout offense and defensive sets.

Physical Demands
  • The employee operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; constantly moves about the facility and event site before, during and after events to service clients; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
  • Standing, walking, kneeling/crouching, balancing and lifting up to 30 pounds (transport of all video equipment, including cameras, tripods, projectors, screens, etc).
  • The scope of the position frequently requires weekend and evening work (non-standard work hours) as well as travel.
