Job Description
At DNSFilter we have a singular mission: to challenge the way the industry thinks about security via DNS—and we need your help! We’ve come a long way over the past few years. In 2021 we had a successful $30 million Series A funding round, and in 2022 we became the fastest DNS security tool on the planet and joined forces with privacy-focused VPN Guardian! This year we’re continuing our product-fueled growth by adding new features to assist our customers with their DNS-layer security and broadening our solution to align with the Secure Web Gateway market.
To accelerate our growth, we are looking for an experienced VP of Sales to build and lead a high-performance sales team, set sales goals, forecast revenue and build out our sales operations engine. The ideal candidate has scaled revenue in SaaS organizations from $5m to $30m+ ARR, including implementing the processes, tools, culture and playbooks to support predictable, efficient growth. This is the epitome of a player-coach role. We are looking for an experienced leader who can be a strong mentor and cheerleader for our team.

You will:
  • Recruit and manage a team of world-class sales professionals
  • Define and execute strategies that support the achievement of our revenue goals
  • Create an accountable, data-driven culture. Report revenue results to the company, executive leadership and the board
  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, Product, and Engineering teams to maximize opportunities for positive collaboration that support our revenue growth
  • Create territories, quotas & compensation plans to help support the achievement of our goals and targets
  • Create forward-looking departmental plans to support our future growth targets
  • Own all new, expansion and renewal revenue for each GTM strategy
Success in this role is measured by:
  • Providing accurate forecasts and forward-looking targets
  • Setting and meeting aggressive growth targets for new, expansion and renewal revenue
  • Building, managing and leading a team of high-performing sales professionals to ensure predictable, forecastable goal attainment
You have:
  • Experience in SaaS sales within the security industry, or related field
  • An in-depth understanding of the cybersecurity industry
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy solving complex problems
  • Previous experience building and scaling sales organizations from early-stage to at least $25m ARR
  • 7+ years sales leadership experience, managing high-performing teams who consistently meet & exceed quota

The estimated salary for this role is: $200,000 to $240,000 with a target OTE of $400,000 USD AnnuallyDNSFilter is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The hiring base pay is dependent upon many factors such as level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and/or geographic location. As a fully remote company, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. and global geographic markets. We pay differently based on those defined markets.
