Position Summary:

As the Vice President of Global Human Resources, you will align goals to achieve business growth, serve as a consultant to executive business partners and care for and develop your team for career enrichment. You will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions with the purpose of deepening the employee experience and championing Bio-Techne’s amazing culture. Central to your success is collaborating with others to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Management: Lead strategies to assess, hire, engage, retain for talent succession.
  • Leader Partner: Collaborate with Bio-Techne executive leaders to co-create talent strategies that engage, retain and sustain growth.
  • Team Career: Situationally lead direct reports to achieve goals and career aspirations.
  • Leadership Development: Enable leadership capability development to create a qualified internal candidate pool to support organizational growth.
  • Organization Effectiveness: Lead the creation of processes and methods for efficiency that are modern and sustainable; deliver nimble execution of plans and strategies; utilize talent systems; practice collaboration across all HR centers of excellence.


Education and Experience:

  • Developing and leveraging human resources metrics as a strategic asset to guide effectiveness and efficiency.
  • 10+ years progressive Human Resources leadership experience including leading senior human resources professionals, executive partnership and influence, and global exposure.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Reports into CHRO.
  • Strategic business partner and advisor to executive leaders.
  • Position located in Minnesota.
  • Developing internationally based direct reports to meet organizational growth goals and objectives and personal career aspirations.
  • Global travel required.

  • Utilize talent systems for progressive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Propagate Bio-Techne’s competency model for understanding and application.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness by co-implementing Bio-Teche’s culture framework and tools for: recruiting, learning & development, Belonging, talent management, performance management, organizational development, internal communication, operational excellence and total rewards health.

  • Lead with vision and purpose.
  • Strategically evaluate threats and opportunities to identify solutions to long-term problems while searching for new or unrealized opportunities to build compelling plans and design thoughtful communication to business partners.
  • Partner with executive leaders to leverage Centers of Excellence capabilities to attract diverse talent, elevate engagement, retain employees and nurture a succession pipeline.
  • Translate strategic and tactical business goals and objectives into human resources operating plans.
  • Co-implement with Organizational Effectiveness talent reviews, talent planning and succession processes.
  • Apply depth and breadth of human resources expertise to solve problems proactively and reactively.
  • Offer thought and key opinion leadership to executive leaders on integrated talent functions.
  • Establish and communicate bold direction and hold team accountable for achieving results.
  • Deepen employee experience
  • Develop and deliver a human resources rhythm of strategies, best practices and rituals.
  • Address employee relations issues to create an engaging environment, drive compliance and resolve performance/behavioral issues.
  • Invest in the growth and development of direct reports and broader human resources business partners.
  • Engage with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning to develop a staffing strategy to attract high quality, diverse candidates to meet long-term business objectives.
