Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a confidential, reputable organization in the Kansas City area who seeks to directly hire a Vice President of Human Resources in the near future to head up its HR function and support a multisite workforce. This is a high level, strategic, full time position for an HR Executive that offers a very competitive base salary, bonus potential, full benefits package, and additional incentive(s). A full relocation package can be extended for the right individual.


Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with multiple leaders, departments and stakeholders to drive initiatives and successfully achieve company priorities
  • Overseeing a high-performing HR team of about 20 professionals who handle varied generalist areas and deliver HR administrative excellence to support all levels of the workforce
  • Spearheading efforts to acquire and optimize top talent, increase employee engagement, ensure compliance, manage communications/key message delivery, provide an attractive total rewards strategy, and develop metrics/analytics/reporting to track progress of the function and company
  • Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as an integral leader and trusted advisor on the Executive Leadership team enabling the organization to reach its business and cultural goals


Qualifications needed:

  • Bachelor's degree is required; Masters or Advanced degree is a plus; SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, AIHR and/or similar certifications are a plus
  • Excellent communicator who is strategic but can be hands-on when needed to motivate others and get the job done; must possess unquestionable integrity, solid judgement and superior relationship-building abilities
  • HR managerial experience in a consumer facing industry in the manufacturing space is required; Food & Beverage/Dairy/Food Production/CPG is highly preferred
  • At least 15 years of progressive, strong, wide-ranging HR leadership experience
