About The Opportunity


DMI is seeking a Vice President of Business Management to manage the corporate-wide program finance function.


  • Travel - Less than 10 percent
  • Support and monitor strategic business plan & detailed operating plan comprising of order book, revenue, cost, overhead and Direct SG&A
  • Manage the program finance function for both the public and private sectors
  • Enabling business goals through tracking business drivers and guiding business leaders for results
  • Proactively work with BU leaders to reduce DSO and improve cash flow
  • Help ensure the business is managed in compliance with DMI accounting and financial policies and controls
  • Support the FP&A function through management of the forecasting and budgeting process at the project level and providing analysis.
  • Guiding business on achieving margin goals for the BUs. The margin includes Direct Margin, Gross Margin & Income from Operations. This goal to be achieved in collaboration with sales, delivery & functional leaders. This will include both strategic and tactical methods for driving profitability, including identifying cost efficiencies at the business level, as well as pricing increase opportunities.
  • Work closely with FP&A function and business teams to forecast and manage results, improve transparency, and maintain a single source of the truth amongst all stakeholders.
  • The role will manage a group of financial analysts. This person will be responsible for ensuring appropriate finance coverage across our portfolio, as well as management of the resources that partner with the businesses.
  • Oversee all financial analysts on each project to ensure timely, accurate financial and accounting discipline across all projects
  • Monitoring & managing risks for the BUs including conflict/dispute resolution with clients
  • Managing key operating parameters for the business, reporting leading and lagging indicators and identifying proactive actions with the business stakeholders.
  • This role has a dual reporting relationship. The role is part of the Finance organization and reports directly to the CFO. Additionally, the role will also have dotted lines to the presidents of the private and public sectors, where this leader will partner with those leaders to ensure appropriate finance support.
  • Drive profitability through innovative pricing strategies, while supporting all pricing for all new opportunities.
  • Continuous improvement of core business processes to enhance speed and efficiency.


Qualifications


Education and Years of experience


  • 10 years experience in an accounting and finance role
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s
  • Ability to partner with business leaders to drive revenue and profit growth
  • 5 years experience in accounting and finance leadership role
  • IT services finance experience including experience with a company with a large offshore presence
  • Reports to CFO, but will spend most of her/his time with the business partners and direct reports.
  • Although position will be hybrid WFH/office position, resource must be home-based locally in the DC-Metro area
