This position is responsible for providing overall strategic leadership to ensure the appropriate corporate and brand positioning of the organization's products an service to drive growth and revenue.
You will...
  • Lead Marketing and Public Relations initiatives at the enterprise level to ensure brand continuity and response to growing the company.
  • Lead and manage across marketing, design, sales, and operations teams to develop market and account specific presentation and support materials, including slide decks, print and web content, email campaigns, infographics, collateral, white papers, event content, and more.
  • Partner with CFO and Investor Relations executive in marketing the company’s story to investors and analysts, assisting in the development of earnings call scripts, presentations, and other company disclosure.
  • Provide specialized input into marketing communications and branding, PR, website, ecommunications and change management strategies and programs.
  • Design and execute a robust Executive communications platform.
  • May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Create key message tracks for the company and ensures consistency throughout written and oral communications. Oversees the company’s graphic standards and logo use and ensures all technological innovations and advantages are infused in the company’s communications program.
  • Lead, manage, and work with external Marketing and Public Relations agencies.
  • Ensure the company’s marketing strategy is designed and executed to achieve business plan objectives.
  • Work closely with executive leadership team and local leadership to create internal and external marketing plans and public relations activities.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and account management teams to develop and execute revenue growth opportunities.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
  • Oversee market research and competitive analysis to stay informed on industry trends and customer needs.
  • Partner with the general counsel to anticipate legal or governmental issues that could affect the company’s ability to transact its business.
  • Prioritize media opportunities, and overseas the preparation of talking points, speeches, presentations and other content to build the reputation of and regard for the organization, its management and the services it offers.
  • Develop and oversee execution of the overall marketing strategy for the organization, including brand positioning, messaging, and campaigns across all channels (digital, social, print, events, etc.).
  • Contribute to the preparation of the organization’s press releases, governmental reports and filings and the Annual Report.
  • Work with sales and client management EVPs and business unit leaders in managing channel strategies, strategic alliances, and programs to close/grow major customer accounts.
  • Create standard responses and plans for local and national public relations needs.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals to create and execute effective campaigns that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, retention, and market insights.
  • Work with leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions and to define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing communications and implements improvements.
  • Participate in branding activities and assists with launch at local and national levels.
  • Ensure participation in marketing initiatives at the Operation Center level.
  • Generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing tools for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, client services, network development and operations managers to develop and implement effective marketing programs.
  • Ensure content is professional, meets audience needs and grows the organization’s profile in line with its brand, marketing and communication objectives.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are aligned with the company's values and mission.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross functional teams to align marketing goals with overall company objectives.
  • Manage and maintain regular contact with target media organizations and appropriate/timely response to any/all media requests.
  • Assert the company’s point of view on important issues and competitive developments through a well-conceived and unimpeachably supported thought leadership platform.
  • Direct and personally participate in programs that promote good will and fosters relationships with community leaders.
  • Create and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve business goals.
  • Develop the messaging for the Executive voice internally and externally.
  • Understand brand strategies and incorporate them into the national brand plans.
  • Lead the Marketing Team to ensure national programs are successfully implemented.
  • Support organization on special projects targeted at elevating local and national presence in the market and sales/business development activities, as needed, including response to requests for proposals (RFPs), SalesForce.com CRM system development, key message development and the company's online presence.
  • Address both daily operational challenges as well as strategic initiatives by driving, planning, and implementing regional marketing programs by targeting both prospective and existing customer buyers.
  • Provide guidance to the executive leadership and other members of the senior leadership team through critical issues as they relate to marketing communications and branding strategies.
  • Strategize the planning, development and execution of our marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Develop guidelines for business unit response to local media inquiries.

  • Track record of public relations management and success in urgent matters.
  • Experience in building, mentoring and coaching a team of communications specialists.
  • Ten (10) plus years leadership responsibility with a track record of success driving growth and revenue for a complex organization.
  • A solid understanding of communication channels, especially intranet and electronic forms.
  • Proven success developing customer-driven programs to accelerate results; field marketing, sales enablement or equivalent expertise in a B2B organization (healthcare preferred).
  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and communicate with remote management.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work well across departments and functions, including those who may be more junior and/or senior; ability to build mutually-beneficial relationships inside and outside of the organization.
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage peers as well as direct and indirect reports and peers.
  • Fifteen (15) plus years experience in developing, managing and delivering marketing and communications strategies and plans in a large organization (preferably health care industry).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with top tier reporters and editors, and in successfully positioning subject matter with the media to achieve high-impact Placements.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience with, and comfortable, in working with geographically dispersed colleagues.
  • Experience in Medicare and Medicaid or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Exemplary writing abilities and professional deliverables for external clients.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising or Communications preferred, Master's Degree highly desired.
  • Outstanding work ethic with high performance and quality standards, enthusiastic and diligent with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, Board of Directors, clients, staff and community leaders.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
  • Ability to think creatively, design, and apply new strategies, programs and techniques

Salary: $202,300 - 283,200
