Job Summary

The Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing (SVPSM) will direct the entire sales team, manage sales team pipelines, sales metrics, and reporting on KPIs to the Board of Directors. The SVPSM is responsible for leading a selling team comprised of Business Developers (BD’s) across the States by providing coaching and direction to the BD’s with a primary focus of achieving the sales and profitability goals within each market. Provides quality leadership in all assigned tasks, inclusive of building trust, driving engagement, ensuring accountability, and building effective teams in a structured, disciplined environment.


Sales Leadership

· Leads the sales team, inclusive of managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development

· Daily engagement with every sales team member to fully understand their activities, engagements and pipeline volume required to meet sales budgets monthly/quarterly/annually

· Conducts weekly sales meetings to review prospecting sales activities and pipeline to assist in moving opportunities through the sale process

· Provides ongoing guidance and coaching to BD’s to reinforce sales methodology and improve closing percentages

· Frequent field coaching with BD’s regarding prospecting, presentations, and client meetings

· Guides BD’s on how to sell value and provide solution-oriented, client-centric proposals

· Nurtures the development and management of clients and prospects to achieve going deeper and broader within client organizations

· Attends initial inspections and job walks with sales, estimating, production, and customers to support sales opportunities

· Attends client presentations with sales team members periodically in a coaching/support role, or a lead facilitation role

· Organizes and develops training opportunities for current sales team members and new hires

· Attends industry trade shows and customer engagements as necessary


Data Management & KPI Reporting

· Drives CRM/pipeline activity for accuracy and completeness

· Manages team activity by encouraging focus on qualified opportunities of the right size, type, geography, and client base to support the annual sales and growth strategy.

· Providing leadership team with sales metrics on pipeline activity, client development and forecasted revenue dollars

· Manages sales KPI’s and reports as required

· Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of market sales and profitability


Processes

· Managing the scheduling of sales team and execution of the lead to contract close process

· Manage and drive data flow to the other departments related to project scope, client expectations and inclusions/exclusions

· Ensure sales team is providing all necessary information to production and estimation team to accurately bid jobs to ensure Dynamic’s margins are maximized

· Active involvement throughout the bid/estimating process to ensure Dynamic is remaining competitive while maximizing margins

· Take initiative to understand roofing and insurance processes to provide review of scope of work, cost to complete and insurance proceeds

· Continual critical review of all processes, metrics and reporting to ensure Dynamic is providing exceptional customer service, both internal and external

· Collaborate with market leadership and Chief Revenue Officer on strategic sales plans for each market for short and long-term growth

· Partner with market level leadership and Chief Revenue Officer to effectively bring new clients and qualified opportunities into the organization

· Special projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Proven track record of sales team goal attainment
  • Bachelor’s degree - Business or Marketing preferred
  • 5-7 years of Commercial Roofing and Construction Experience
  • Passion for growing and mentoring employees through Servant Leadership to be their best and meet their full potential without using formal authority
  • Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task
  • Experience in the commercial contracted service industry with local and established contacts with: Mid to senior level asset managers, facility engineers, REITs and ownership groups across multiple market verticals; office, industrial/warehouse, apartment, HOA, education, healthcare, retail, and others
  • 5-7 years of sales leadership experience managing, developing, and scaling teams of field-based, face-to-face Hunters in a longer sales cycle environment
  • Organized with understanding that time is all we have and we must defend it
  • Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Working experience with social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Positive and engaging personality
  • Experience using and managing a CRM
  • Results driven sales leader that is highly competitive and possesses a growth mindset
