About the job
As Vice President, you will be a communications leader for the product areas that encompass a significant number of employees, the majority of the company’s business, and the integral products that drive our reputation and that people associate with our company.
As the Vice President, Communications, Knowledge and Information, and the Global Business Organization, you will be managing all Communications, external and internal, for Google’s primary Product Areas, encompassing Google Search and Assistant, News, Maps, our entire Advertising business, our growing Commerce and Payments efforts. These are fast moving, ever-evolving businesses and products that are the subject of global regulatory, competitive, and policy challenges. You will confidently and inspirationally lead through this landscape.
It's our job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders-and our own employees-about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees. Things happen quickly at Google and to get stuff done here you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally and isn't hesitant to take risks or try new things.
