Job Description

About the Role

We are currently hiring a Vice President, Information Technology. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list of qualifications, we will consider all candidates depending on their level of experience and talent. Reporting to the CFO, this critical position will be integral to developing and implementing the comprehensive IT strategy in conjunction with Tria’s senior leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and Maintain IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Oversee annual SOC 2 audit.
  • Assume role of the security officer.
  • Establish and maintain a service oriented, customer focused IT department that supports ongoing operations that drive efficiency, quality, customer service and growth.
  • Drive high employee engagement and an enjoyable work environment.
  • Lead cloud infrastructure including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, along with other corporate computing technologies.
  • Develop short- and long-term IT strategic plans.
  • Responsible for the overall health of the network, hardware, and software systems.
  • Hands-on leadership with extensive knowledge in information technology / infrastructure, application development, security, and compliance.
  • Direct the operations and activities of the IT staff, assisting with various job duties when needed.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources staff to provide software application training opportunities for employees.
  • Maintain information technology policies and procedures ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Review and maintain the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuation plans.
  • Assist in the recruiting of needed staff for the IT department.
  • Manage the team by mentoring, coaching, training, developing, and supervising.
  • Stay abreast of future technology directions and incorporate into technology planning.

Qualifications

  • Applicable knowledge of NIST, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations. Experience with SOC 2 certifications a plus.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong sense of duty.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze numerical, statistical, and financial data.
  • Results-oriented with impeccable integrity with an emphasis on both individual and team accountability.
  • Proven track record of leadership and strong knowledge industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated hands-on leadership in development and implementation of contemporary enterprise technology architectures, best practices and current innovations across technology solutions and platforms.
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate programs, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and informal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex technical terms using non-technical language.
  • Proven track record managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Ability to create and support effective working relationships with all employees and clients.
  • Ability to effectively solve and respond to changing employee and client needs and requirements.
  • Display sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence, where failure to perform effectively and efficiently could have serious impact on operations, public relations, and the efficient use of resources.
  • Strong knowledge of information technology infrastructure, architecture, and systems, including telephony and phone systems.
  • Ability to establish department objectives and performance measures as well as communicate, support, and evaluate the achievement of those objectives and measures.
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing, preparing, and managing comprehensive department budgets.
  • Ability to organize effectively, set priorities, manage workload, and handle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.


Education/Experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Services, Data Processing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in information technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and printers are utilized. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand, bend, kneel, sit, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Location: Currently located in Overland Park, KS but moving to Kansas City, MO (Crossroads area) later in 2023. This is not a remote position.
