What You Need:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience, or relatable industry experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of management in IT operations, information systems, and business experience.
  • This position requires a Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience managing diverse group of IT professionals and establishing a strong teamwork environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years leadership experience with experience optimizing business information.
  • Adobe, LIMS, Empower, Open Lab preferred.
  • Experience managing an ERP system in a manufacturing environment. SAP is preferred. Significant working experience in all phases of current security protocols.


What Your Role Will Look Like:

Under the supervision of the CFO, the VP of IT oversees all functions, planning, projects, and maintenance of Information Technology in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.


  • Oversee and evaluate the deployment of all hardware, software and systems from various perspectives including cost effectiveness, customer satisfaction, compliance, asset management, migration, rollout, transition, performance, and security.
  • Manage and oversee all stages of the development lifecycle for new projects. Work to deliver products on time and on budget.
  • Oversee the management and optimize the value of the ERP system. Lead the strategic planning process prioritize process and system enhancements focused on business risk mitigation, decision support, and process efficiency. This includes developing data as an asset and implementing master data management and governance.
  • Optimize business profitability and customer satisfaction through technology. Ensure that all reported issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT systems with a goal to provide cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee the hiring, supervision, evaluation, and growth of all technology staff. Ensures information optimization, IT data security, risk management, disaster recovery and planning processes are in place and receive regular review for currency and adequacy.
  • Oversee the entire IT department, including infrastructure and applications. Liaise among all effected parties to understand requirements and how to best meet them. Procure buy-in from senior management for needed projects.
  • Optimize IT response to business needs through a revised ticket management approach.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technological needs. Ensure that the organization’s IT governance follows compliance with any and all regulatory compliance (i.e., FDA, HIPPA, etc.).
  • Help to prioritize short and long-term objectives. Maintain existing programs, seeing the necessary updates are made. Oversee maintenance of hardware.
  • Ensure data integrity, migration, back-up, and customer service initiatives (such as helpdesk), ensure appropriate monitoring of vendors/consultant activity as it pertains to interactions in any/all systems, perform periodic system checks and risk assessments, conduct appropriate education all levels of organization.
  • Stay up to date on security risks, ensure systems and data security, and manage cyber security risk.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies by upper management.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including software applications, physical and virtual serves, networking, cabling and telecommunications infrastructure, cloud services, workstations, and peripherals.
  • Develop the strategic plan to ensure the technical system and data infrastructure can support the evolving needs of the business.
