Job Description

Emerson is seeking a driven and experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead the HR function for our Measurement Solutions business in Shakopee, Minnesota. This is a high-visibility role that reports to the Group President of Measurement Solutions, with a strong dotted line to Emerson’s Chief People Officer. You will be responsible for crafting the strategy of the business and developing and implementing organizational strategies that align structure, culture, and talent with business goals.

As a strategic HR partner and a member of the senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of Measurement Solutions. With 13,000 employees and over 30 manufacturing facilities worldwide, this is an opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that designs and manufactures measurement, analytical and flow products and systems.

AS THE VICE PRESIDENT HUMAN RESOURCES FOR EMERSON’S MEASUREMENT SOLUTIONS BUSINESS, YOU WILL:

  • Apply insights from our Employee Listening Programs and through direct feedback to drive continuous improvements
  • Drive our Culture Transformation, by crafting an outstanding and modern Employee Experience through all Human Resources touch points throughout an employee journey
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization by being an effective listener, mentor, and problem solver
  • Represent the strategic HR interests of the Measurement Solutions business with the Emerson HR leadership team, and work with this team to collaboratively set functional strategy and direction across the enterprise
  • Work with regional and global partners to address regional needs and implement global initiatives
  • Design and drive unified strategic plans with measurable metrics that support business, financial and employee engagement goals
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization with measurable outcomes for representation at the Director level and above.
  • Foster a culture where ownership of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, along with Environment Health and Safety, is embraced by all employees
  • Be a member of the senior leadership team for the Measurement Solutions business and lead its global HR function and team
  • Build organizational capability and effectiveness through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management, employee development, organization planning and retention

You have a demonstrable track record as an HR leader in a manufacturing setting for a global company, serving as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team. You see the big picture, articulate a compelling vision, and create strategies to sustain competitive advantage. You use each team member’s unique background to achieve team goals. You proactively align the interests of multiple, diverse partners. You always act with integrity and hold others to high standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 10 or more years related experience
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree required

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Cultural transformation and change management experience
  • Global business transformation
  • M&A integration experience
  • A demonstrable experience in leading a large global organization, preferably in a matrix environment
  • Incentive compensation and total rewards experience
