*This is a confidential Search* My client is an automotive manufacturing company with world-class products that are designed, engineered, and manufactured by a team of talented employees.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate policies, census data, programs and quotations etc. and make recommendations to management.
  • Responsible to lead, oversee and support all aspects of union negotiations at each facility.
  • Maintain uniform programs for all company locations, where possible.
  • Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
  • Develop Employee Engagement survey method to obtain employee satisfaction measurable.
  • Directly responsible for overall design, plan, evaluate, implement and direct all Human Resource programs such as: (Compensation, Labor, Health Insurance Programs, etc.)
  • Maintain company’s competitive position in the labor market; evaluate and compare existing company compensation and benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information.
  • Direct efforts to ensure company’s Vision Culture programs are developed, administered and tracked. Oversee proper action plans are developed by location addressing any deficiencies.
  • Responsible for labor relations, provides advice and counsel on personnel issues to all locations. Prepares, recommends and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
  • Propose, develop, publish and administer employee policies and procedures. Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitor labor law updates and newsletters for changes affecting HR. Educate HR team at all locations of changes that affect the company. Serves as an internal resource / consultant to Managers regarding policies and current legislation.


Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in Human Resources, OR a Master’s degree in human resource management, Certified Professional Human Resources (PHR) or other certifications preferred.
  • Requires strong communication-both oral and written, initiative and excellent organization, attention to detail.
  • Must have knowledge of employment law and benefit plan design, strategies and administration.
  • Proficient computer knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Management skills that include planning, decision making, facilitating and process improvement; provides regular performance feedback and develops subordinates’ skills and encourages growth.
  • Delegation- delegates work assignments, gives authority to work independently, sets expectations and monitors delegated activities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment, established time management skills.
