Position Summary:
As the Vice President, Human Resources you will proactively provide HR strategic leadership to our executive management team while aligning with LG Electronics business strategies and organizational vision. You will lead all aspects of Human Resources across North America including our HR Business Partners (including Employee Relations) and our Centers of Excellence: Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management (Talent Acquisition, Learning and Talent Development, Employee Communications) and HRIS for 3,500 employees including our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Head of HR in North America, you will set HR strategy for North America to enhance and support the overall mission and strategy of the company. You will advise and support our CEO and Executive Team in issues related to organizational effectiveness, change management and overall individual performance. Success in this role includes the ability to identify and introduce progressive initiatives that are forward-thinking to prepare the organization for the future workforce.
- Participate in relevant fiduciary and compensation committees to ensure alignment with leadership on total rewards.
- Collaborate with Global HR on global processes to ensure compliance, administration, and reporting on progress for the North American region.
- Foster and cultivate initiatives in support of our global reinvention of our culture initiative.
- Lead our HR shared service model of operations across all subsidiaries in North America.
- Share best practices with other regions and provide thought leadership to CEO/Global HR and partner with senior leaders to develop effective strategies to support the talent agenda such as succession planning, recruiting, employee engagement and retention etc).
- Build upon and advance established Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives and help influence our ability to attract top talent.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to utilize professional HR expertise in a wide range of HR areas with the capability to translate HR expertise strategic directions and outcomes.
- Success in coordinating shared services for businesses with diverse needs, collaborating to align the overall philosophies of each businesses/subsidiaries including new business development in Silicon Valley.
- A value-added mindset and result driven approach; able to identify quick wins to gain credibility with leadership across our expanding organization.
- Well-honed project management skills to lead and facilitate M&A, joint ventures or business closings and integrate new businesses.
- Experience in navigating a multi-cultural environment that is set in a global matrix environment.
- Exceptional leadership skills and business acumen with passion and proven ability to drive our strategic HR mission.
- Proven ability to adapt with agility to make expedient decisions.
