Job Description

Reporting to the President of Sports + Entertainment, the Vice President of Human Resources leads the implementation of people strategies and processes to support business goals and outcomes while building an engaged and inspired culture. Success in role includes developing people to strengthen the impact of the human resources team. Collaboration across disciplines is a predictor of success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions to people and service needs using data, metrics and regional reviews.
  • Travel requirement up to 30%.
  • Partner with business leaders on the development and implementation of key business strategies and initiatives; identify opportunities where HR can support and drive business goals and objectives.
  • Provide insight to HR leadership to implement strategic HR and operating plans.
  • Partner with peer field HR Vice Presidents to collaborate, define and deliver best practices and share resources.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams to ensure readiness for growth and succession planning.
  • Drive Organizational Readiness and organizational capacity, capability, and engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as the key strategic HR partner to the President and executive leadership team of the line of business.
  • Lead the business in people processes such as performance management, talent reviews, salary planning and succession planning.
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches to attracting and retaining hourly staff nationwide, across various locations.
  • Remedy escalated field operations issues in the areas of employee relations, corrective action, labor relations, employment law, compensation, and benefits
  • Lead Regional HR directors, managers, and associates. Oversee and lead the HR team in best-in-class delivery of a broad range of HR services, including organizational development, talent management, compensation, engagement, and staffing and employee relations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize information and recommendations into presentations.
  • Ability to lead change and model new behaviors to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience in skillfully handling unionize labor relations with employees across multiple jurisdictions in the US.
  • Experience in staffing, organizational change, development & training, employee/labor relations, compensation, and benefits.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing and leading a team of HR professionals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience and success influencing without formal authority.
  • Minimum of 10 years generalist/specialist experience in Human Resources with increasing levels of responsibility.
