Job Description
Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Leads Facilities Management - HVAC/R teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools. Identifies customer needs and business priorities. Coordinates and executes work assignments. Provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and desired work quality are achieved. Models and helps team members adapt to change or new challenges.
Oversees and implements special projects for Field Operations by collecting data. Evaluates new technology capabilities. Corrects deficiencies. Provides suggestions for changes and improvements.
Ensures compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines by overseeing the completion of work according to practices and procedures outlined by OHSA, EPA, and in Walmart HVAC/R safety policies and environmental guidelines. Reclaims ozone-depleting refrigerants.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local HVAC/R industry regulations and guidelines (for example, building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements) by conducting inspections and making repairs. Maintains quality standards by inspecting installations and modifications of new HVAC/R equipment and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
Ensures contract compliance. Identifies and reports deficiencies. Ensures available resources for HVAC/R maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory. Records HVAC/R purchases and usage. Tracks and orders HVAC/R parts. Develops relationships with HVAC/R parts suppliers and contractors.
Ensures working orders of HVAC/R, EMS, and direct digital control equipment by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment. Performs major and minor preventive maintenance. Provides feedback about troubleshooting best practices. Manages district workloads with external service providers.
Provides training (for example, safety, control troubleshooting, oil system operation and adjustment) by traveling to company facilities for onsite sessions. Performs on-site HVAC/R repairs for hands-on learning. Evaluates technician skill sets and reporting back to senior leadership.
Provides and supports the implementation of Facilities Management - HVAC/R business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Identifies business needs. Monitors progress and results. Recognizes and capitalizes on improvement opportunities. Adapts to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $28.85-$49.04*
  • The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: 10 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
Universal EPA Certification.
